K-Cup Cocktails

Espresso Martini’s, Spiked Morning Coffee’s, Caffeinated adult beverages, they all sound intriguing right? Ever thought your Keurig and K cups could make you one heck of a coffee cocktail? Think no longer, because this Somm’s going to show you how to “spike” your favorite Keurig flavors for some K-Cup Cocktails!

            Our top 5 Favorite K Cups to use for cocktails:

  1. Barista Prima Coffeehouse Dark Italian Roast
  2. Hot Apple Cider
  3. Lemonade Fruit Brew
  4. Kahlua Coffee
  5. Dark Hot Chocolate

 

Barista Prima Coffee House Cocktail:

1 K Cup, brewed to 8oz cup ws-barista-italian-roast-12-barista-italian-roast-alt1

1-2 Ice Cubes

2oz Van Gogh Espresso Vodka

.5 Oz Godiva Liqueur

Method:

  1. Brew the K cup to the espresso or 8oz cup portion. This will extract as much flavor as possible.
  2. Once brewed, place 1-2 Ice Cubes to chill quicker
  3. In shaker with ice, combine slightly chilled coffee, vodka, and liqueur and shake until well chilled
  4. Chill martini glass. Rim with sugar if you like yours slightly sweet, and strain into glass.

*Decaf will work just as well if you cannot have caffeine!

 

Apple Pie K Cup Shots

1 8oz K Cup Brewed keurig apple cider k-cup

1-2 Ice Cubes

.5oz Chila Orchata

.5oz Pinnacle Salted Caramel Vodka

Method:

  1. Brew the Apple Cider K cup and add 1-2 ice cubes after to quickly chill the beverage
  2. In a shaker, combine Salted Caramel Vodka and Brewed Cider. Shake over ice
  3. In a shot glass, pour a layer of the Chila Orchata in the bottom. With a spoon slightly tilted into the shot glass, slowly pour over the apple cider and vodka mixture through the strainer in the shaker. This should make somewhat of a layer.
  4. Take as an apple pie shot! For a perfect pairing, make some pie crust fries to eat after the shot is taken!

 

Lemonade Fruit Brew Cocktail: This cocktail is Spring-Spired with bold lemon and fig aromas and flavors. The perfect cocktail for a spring day!

1-2 Ice Cubes

2oz Grey Goose Citrus Vodka

1oz Figenza Fig Vodka

Lemon Wedge & Rosemary Sprig

Method:

  1. Brew the k cup and quickly chill it with 1-2 ice cubes
  2. Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice
  3. Shake well and pour all contents into a highball glass
  4. Garnish with lemon wedge and rosemary sprig

 

Kahlua Spiked Coffee: Surprisingly simple and delicious! kahlua

1 Kahlua K Cup Brewed

2oz Kahlua

Method:

  1. This one is simple… just spike your coffee!

 

Hot Cocoa Cocktail:

1 Hot Chocolate K Cup brewed to smallest cup

2oz Godiva Liqueur

1oz Van Gogh Dark Chocolate Vodka 12-k-cup-cafe-escapes-Dark-Chocolate-alt

Cocoa Powder & Granulated Sugar

Method:

  1. Brew the k cup and quick chill it with 1-2 ice cubes
  2. Rim the glass with the cocoa and sugar mixture
  3. Shake all ingredients in martini shaker
  4. Strain and pour into glass
