IMG_7366Luxury in downtown Lancaster! The Lancaster Arts Hotel is one of a kind, and the perfect place to stay when you’re visiting this section of Pennsylvania. Not only can you dine at an award winning restaurant: John J. Jefferies, but you can also enjoy a continental breakfast filled with waffles, daily specials, fresh coffee, juices, and more.

Parking is plentiful in the hotel’s on-site parking garage, and the staff is warm and welcoming. This site was once an old tobacco storage facility and is now one of the best hotel’s for service, style, and comfortable stays! My suite was exquisite with beautiful art on the walls, a custom wooden headboard, comfortable and clean bedding, jacuzzi bathtub, and a stunning bathroom. One of IMG_7364the many impressive amenities (at least to a Sommelier like myself) was the wine fridge in the suite. After a day spent tasting some incredible wines with Jan at Waltz Vineyards, nothing made me happier then knowing my wines could be perfectly chilled, while I relaxed in my gorgeous room.

Besides the bedroom, the bathroom is the second most important part of the hotel room, wouldn’t you agree?  I usually don’t go into describing bathrooms, but the ones here at the Lancaster Arts Hotel are impressive. A stone walled European style lancaster-arts-hotelshower, blood orange lotion, body wash, and hair care products. For the ladies, enjoy makeup remover towelettes, a great hair dryer, and a nail file (if emoji’s were appropriate in blog posts, I would place the surprised emoji face + hands clapping)! Not only had I chipped a nail before dinner, I also forgot my makeup wipes in the car; I fell even more in love with the Lancaster Arts Hotel at this very moment.

IMG_7363After a delicious dinner at John J. Jeffries, I was overjoyed to come back and find chocolates and a single red rose in the room. This took turn down service to another level, and was an elegant surprise to return to. It’s those little touches that really make a hotel stand out, and the Lancaster Arts Hotel certainly knows how to make you feel right at home, and yet VIP at the same time!

The hotel is great for large groups, conferences, and weddings. For groups, the first floor has a meeting space available for use that is spacious and can be catered with food and beverages. Hotel guests can also enjoy YMCA access, as well as lovely outdoor seating, gorgeous art throughout the hotel, and a very accommodating staff. If you’re staying a day or more in Lancaster, I highly recommend staying here, at the Lancaster Arts Hotel. I am confident you will enjoy every minute of your stay! Rooms start at $169.00/night.
