Just because summer is coming to a close doesn’t mean we have to stop grilling our favorite foods! I recently decided to spend Labor Day grilling up a storm in my NYC apartment thanks to Ravage WinesPitmaster Hugh Mangum’s of Mighty Quinn’s BBQ, and the Gotham Smokeless Grill.

I discovered Ravage wines a few years ago when they first launched and instantly fell in love with the deep, rich, and captivating wines. They are fruit forward and in your face, expressing notes of red berries, baking spices, vanilla, and structure. Ravage offers two wines, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Red Blend. For Labor Day grilling, I enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon which is aged in 100% new French oak and has soft tannins.

I was sent this beautiful grilling kit from Ravage wines complete with some salt, barbequing equipment, and Mighty Quinn’s barbecue sauce. The sauce is so delicious and tangy, with a nice backbone of spice. To make this grilling session extra special, I decided to do surf and turf, complete with bbq shrimp and chicken. I always enjoy making a variety of things, and Ravage Cabernet is very pair-able.  Alongside the proteins were Pretzilla Soft Baked Pretzel Nuggets (literally the BEST),  Quinoa Salad, and Sweet Potato Fries!

The Gotham Smokeless Grill is the ultimate kitchen essential due to its size, portability, and also no smoke! It’s easy to use, especially in an NYC apartment, where counter space is limited. It heats up fast and grills quickly, keeping your meats juicy and delicious. Now, with Ravage wines, you can easily pair red meat, but since I write a lot about steaks and ribs often, I wanted to keep this meal somewhat healthier.

Overall Ravage Wines are a great bang for your buck at $13.99/bottle! If you enjoy fruit forward and fun wines from California, then you will surely love Ravage. Always remember, eat what you like and drink what you love. Please pair responsibly!
