Tis’ the season for rosé, also known as summer water! Rosé is perfect for this hot summer weather and I have some delicious rosés for you to try. These wines are perfect for beach days, pool hangs, and everything in between. In NYC it’s hard to find space to sit outside and have wine, but luckily living in Stuy Town has its perks and I can bring wine outside! These wines make me want to grab a great book, my friends, and a blanket and enjoy the warm summer days outside. What’s your favorite way to sip rosé?

If you’re seeking some more to sip this summer, here are the top four I recommend for your next day off!

2018 Cape Mentelle Rosé From the Margaret River in Western Australia, this gorgeous rosé made from Grenache and Syrah grapes! Bright pink with salmon hues, and an aromatic nose, this beauty should be enjoyed outdoors with some shrimp cocktail or a seafood tower. If you’re in the mood to grab your favorite book and plant yourself in the grass for a little summer reading, I recommend this wine with some peach Caprese salad, topped with mint and balsamic. If you’re not into cooking or want something you can enjoy with your hands, shrimp tacos would also pair nicely with this fruit-forward, mineral-driven Australian rosé!

Rotari Brut Rosé- A bold and beautiful bubbly that really can be consumed for any occasion! Made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this wine from Trentino territory, in the heart of Dolomites, this wine is full of red fruit and elegance. It’s a beautiful pale pink with red fruit, pineapple, and yeast aromas. On the palate, it’s lively with nice minerality. Pair this wine with some Tuna Tartare for the perfect summer treat!

2018 Stemmari Rosé-  A beautiful rosé made from Sicilian varietal, Nero d’Avola! Grown in sandy soils, these grapes thrive here due to the careful management in the vineyards.  It has a strong nose of wild strawberry, which is very common for this grape varietal. The minerality and freshness in this wine is pleasant and pairs well with summer vegetables and poultry dishes.

2018 Mezzacorona Rosé- This wine is made with Lagrein grapes, a local varietal from Trentino Alto Adige region. It’s a nice salmon pink with deep hues and a smoothness which comes from the alluvial soils. The soils are created by the Adige river, which is great for Lagrein grapes and gives a fresh and fruity character to this rosé.

Always remember, eat what you like and drink what you love. Please pair responsibly!
