It’s wine month at The Lodge at Woodloch, a spa that is one of the top in the country and should honestly be renamed heaven on earth! Here you will enjoy stunning scenery, workout classes that will balance your mind and body, the freshest farm to table food, as well as wine and beer inspired spa treatments!
I recently visited The Lodge where I enjoyed a Muds and Suds Body Treatment using Dogfish Head Beer as well as hops and some anti-oxidant ingredients to make your skin fresh and renewed. You enter through the women’s retreat in your comfy robe and slippers where you are then escorted to the fireplace waiting area. Everywhere you look there is either orange or lemon water for you to drink as well as eucalyptus lotions and fresh fruit bowls to enjoy.
I was greeted by my massage therapist who explained all the ingredients to me before the treatment and it was so interesting to learn that hops and beer (especially IPA) are great for your skin. After the lovely body scrub you then get to enjoy a Swedish Massage with green apple body butter! I left smelling delicious and my skin was the smoothest I have ever felt; it was the best 75 minutes ever. Once you are done, you can enjoy a cold glass of Dogfish Head IPA in the Whisper Room or do what I did and enjoy it out in the crisp fall air on the veranda. It was simply magical sipping my beer, feeling my smooth skin and taking in this amazing resort and spa.
The Lodge at Woodloch is voted one of the top destination resort and spas in the USA. They do not skimp on any single detail and for the holiday season (especially November) you can get in some spa treatments, wine classes, cooking demo’s and relaxation time all in a matter of a weekend. I was there from a Thursday to Saturday and I packed in a lot of fun and relaxation time. The time seems to stand still and its so peacefully quiet that no matter where you are, you are feeling zen. The staff, service and accommodations are absolutely exquisite and you will enjoy every minute of your stay here, guaranteed.
On Friday I enjoyed a new November wine month treatment: the Tipsy Toes Pedicure! After a lovely wine tasting in the Tree Restaurant and Bar, I walked over to the Lotus Salon and enjoyed this wine-inspired pedicure. The foot bath is warm and welcoming with benefits of passion fruit and Cabernet in a relaxing private booth. It’s just you and your pedicurist and you can relax and unwind with a glass of wine. Emily was my pedicurist and she is an absolute doll! She is so sweet, from the area and has the most pleasant demeanor; I absolutely recommend her for this treatment. The bath is followed by a thorough exfoliation using sugar and shea butter; its truly a one of a kind experience. A massage as well as nail and cuticle care finish this wine inspired pedicure while I enjoyed a glass of S.A Prum Riesling with a petite cheese platter!
It’s the holiday season and you deserve to treat yourself and your loved ones. Take a weekend away and head to Hawley, PA for The Lodge at Woodloch! Wine month is all November long and you owe it to yourself to relax and rejuvenate your mind and body. This spa is an oasis and makes for the perfect couples weekend, mom and daughter weekend, girlfriends getaway, and more.
