If you love the taste of caramel and want to up your cocktail game this fall and winter season, then you have to try a bottle of Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka! I recently hosted a fall event at One Sixty Madison, which is a Luxury Residential High Rise I do the food and beverage events for.
CiderFEST was my excuse to bring out the best of fall flavors and we enjoyed a range of ciders from NY along with Wind & Willow Caramel Cider “Toddys” spiked with Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka. This caramel toddy was the biggest hit at the event, which was no surprise since everyone loves a delicious spiked hot beverage. Van Gogh Dutch Caramel is delicious and boasts aromas of freshly cooked caramel, with a long sweet finish. On the palate, it’s easy to sip on its own and sometimes I even enjoy it on the rocks when I want something sweet and spiked for dessert!
What made this cocktail fun, was that we used Van Gogh mini bottles to spike the hot cider, which people could enjoy a little or a lot in their cup. Depending on their level of sweetness tolerance, it was a huge hit with everyone at the party. I walked around with a basket full of the minis, and when people filled their cups with the hot caramel cider, they had to find me to grab a nip of the caramel vodka.
CiderFEST is just one of the many events I host at One Sixty Madison, and this one wouldn’t have been complete without Van Gogh vodka.
Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Toddy- by Sara Lehman
8oz Apple Cider
1/2 tsp Wind & Willow Caramel Cider Mix
2oz Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka
1/2 Lemon Squeezed (optional)
Method: On the stove, or in an electric tea kettle, heat apple cider with the wind and willow caramel mix. Once heated to your desired temperature, pour into a coffee mug. Add the vodka, and stir. Add the lemon (optional) to the cup after you taste the toddy first, to see if it’s too sweet you may need a bit of acid. Sip and enjoy on a chilly fall day!
Other fun ways to use Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka
