IMG_0698  Labor Day Weekend is the time for family, friends, and BBQ’s! To spice up our Labor Day this year, I hosted a Sliders, Sides, and Sips party featuring four deliciously sinful sliders, three sides, and four refreshing sips!

Sliders are so much fun not only to make, but to eat as well. Who wants to just stick with one burger when you can have four different kinds and actually eat them all! While I was prepping the sliders, guests were able to snack on some of my delectable sides. Spread out on the table was Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Baked Sweet Potato Fries, Chips and Homemade Guacamole, and of course a light, fresh, Tomato and Basil Summer Salad.

The Grilled Duck Breast Sliders were medium rare, perfectly dressed with Pomegranate Dressing, and paired with a Sparkling Midori cocktail. Using one of my favorite sparkling cocktail additions, the Cucumber Melon Polar Seltzer added the perfect touch to the Midori cocktail.

For the Crab Cake Sliders, a Coconut Margarita was the perfect touch. The crab cake was crunchy, creamy, and packed with flavor and topped with a chipotle mayo. The POM Coconut made for the best coconut margarita; it was out of this would yum!

Pulled Pork Sliders are absolutely delicious and had to make their presence in this slider series dinner. Thanks to Fireball Whiskey I was able to whip up some awesome Cinnamon Whiskey Cream Cocktails! Fireball smacks you with cinnamon, and leaves you with a delicious taste, which was a perfect complement to the sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. The creaminess in the cocktail came from the Cinnamon Cream Rum and really sliced right through the tangy spice in the BBQ sauce.

Filet Mignon Sliders were the final slider selection in this filling, yet insanely delicious dinner. The Filet was sliced thin, medium rare, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with this classic slider was a Red Wine cocktail; 337 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cognac, and Organic Agave for a touch of sweetness.

However you enjoy this holiday, make sure it is with family, friends, or loved ones. You can entertain very easily and a sliders, sides, and sips dinner is the perfect party for Labor Day Weekend. Dinners such as this can easily work on a budget, in a small NYC kitchen, or a big backyard bash!

Always remember, no matter how small the kitchen, you never have to skimp on sophistication!
