This wine in particular is very good. It’s mid priced about $21.00 and so worth it! It is a beautiful inky purple with a magenta mousse. The long lasting bubbles and enticing aromas of black plums, currants, spice and licorice, made me think this was going to be very enjoyable. On the palate I noticed mouth filling creaminess with a lot of tart black fruit and a slight savory note. This shiraz has chewy tannins and a long fruity finish with enough residual sugar to balance out the medium plus acidity.

I decided to pair my wine with sauteed garlic and lime shrimp over Thai basil risotto and lime juice. I also added some chopped red onion and peppers for color and flavor. This wine is very refreshing on it’s own for casual sipping, but can also pair with many things such as Asian dishes, red meat, or even better, you could pair it with a chocolate dessert (definitely going to try next)!

So if you are looking for something sparking and love reds, I absolutely recommend this wine!
