Opening tomorrow, March 20, 2014 is Carroll Place on Bleecker Street. From the people who brought us Osteria Cotta on the Upper West Side, we now have another new restaurant to look forward to dining at! Restaurants open all the time in NYC, so why is this one special and worth a mention? Well, because this Somm loves her wine and Gastro Pubs, and Carroll Place is just the spot for that!
For those of you who love your beer too, Carroll Place offers a wonderful and wide selection of beers that will go with their delectable menu. Some items include, Wood Fired Rosemary Wings; Pork Ragu and Short Rib Sliders; and a Burrata Burger with grilled tomato and prosciutto. Want a little more? you can also try the, Wood Fire Free Range Chicken with broccoli rabe and olives; Linguine Vongole with clams, white wine, chili flakes and tomato; and a NY Strip Steak served with truffle fries and a watercress salad.
Luckily for us as well, if you want a nice pizza and some wine or beer, Carroll Place introduces new signature pizzas including the Tartufo with speck, truffle cream, button mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and truffle oil. The Bruxelles pizza combines pancetta, Brussel sprouts and fresh mozzarella. And for dessert (if you save room), Carroll Place will feature Cotta’s signature Wood Fired Nutella Calzone.
