Brunch is at its best again at Favela Cubana! New Yorkers who know how to bend the rules when it comes to Bottomless Brunches need to come to this hot Cuban spot. Whether for the delicious Empanada’s or the unbelievably refreshing Sparkling Sangria, everyone will have something they love on the brunch menu. This menu is only available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 11am-4pm, so luckily this is not a short brunch for the late weekend risers.
Lets talk pairings now, because that’s why you’re reading this right? The Sparkling Sangria paired very nicely with the warm meat filled Empanadas. The sangria is filled with 
fresh and vibrant berries topped with some Prosecco or Cava. The empanada’s come out piping hot and are freshly prepared each and every day. Next came the Caipirinha, which this Somm paired with a Cuban Eggs Benedict.
The chunks of Lime and sweetness to the cocktail went beautifully with the Tangy Pulled Pork and Ham on the benedict, while the smooth and creamy Hollandaise sauce made this pairing absolute perfection!
If you have some room for dessert, the Apple Pie Empanadas are a popular favorite, but this Somm went for the Tres Leches Cake which is out of this world yum! Favela Cubana also serves Mimosa’s and Bellini’s for those of you who want your classic bottomless brunch cocktails.
