Creative Oscars Cocktails!

The 90th Oscars® is almost here, do you know what cocktails or wine you will be sipping while watching? This list of creative Oscars cocktails will help you navigate your evening and enjoy this star-studded event from the comfort of your own couch!

This year Lillet has collaborated with actor and cocktail enthusiast Whitney Adams to curate delicious Lillet cocktails inspired by some of this year’s Academy Award-nominated films. Also thanks to Tap 357 Maple Rye Whisky, Van Gogh Vodka, and LBD Wines, below are plenty of recipes courtesy of the brands (all of which are favorites of mine) to keep you and the gals going all evening long. 

Call Me By Your Bellini(inspired by Call Me By Your Name) –created by Whitney Adams Lillet Cocktailsfor Lillet.

1.5 oz white peach puree 

1.5 Lillet rosé 

4.5 oz chilled Prosecco 

Method: Stir in mixing glass. Pour in juice glass a la Harry’s Bar in Venice and add a twist of lemon. 

 

Phantom Spritz (inspired by Phantom Thread) created by Whitney Adams for Lillet.

Lillet Cocktailsfor 1 drink: 

3 oz Lillet Blanc 

1/2 oz lemon juice 

1 tsp raspberry jam  

3 oz Club Soda 

Garnish: lemon and marjoram 

Method: Add the Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, and jam into your glass. Stir to combine. Add ice and the club soda. Finish with lemon garnish and sprigs of marjoram (or mint works too!). 

Want a fun pairing for the cocktails? Pecans are the perfect snack to keep you entertained and enjoying the Oscars. This Maple Whisky Pecan recipe is perfect for the whisky and maple-lovers in your life. It’s also incredibly easy, delicious, and comes with a cocktail to match! 

Don’t Ask Rye- Inspired by The Shape Of Water 
2 oz. TAP 357 Canadian Maple Rye Whisky
1/4 oz. Honey Syrup
2 oz. Lemonade
Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a glass and serve with an ice sphere.

Maple Whisky Pecans- Courtesy of Tap 357 Maple Rye Whisky

2 T Tap 357 Maple Rye Whisky

1 T honey

1/4 cup brown sugar

Method: Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring the pecans every 20 minutes.

THE PARADISO- Inspired by Call Me By Your Name

1 1/2 oz. Van Gogh Oranje Vodka

1/2 oz. Rossi d’Asiago Limoncello

1/2 oz. Aperol

1 oz. fresh orange juice

Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with a floating orange wheel.

BLEEDING HEART (serves 6- 8)- Inspired by Get Out

1 cup Van Gogh Pomegranate

1 750ml bottle LBD Cabernet Sauvignon

1 lemon sliced

I orange sliced

1 cup fresh blueberries

12 oz club soda

Method: Combine all ingredients but club soda in a large bowl or pitcher and chill. When ready to serve to add club soda, stir, and pour into individual glasses.               

ROUGE PLUMAGE- Inspired by Lady Bird

2 oz. Van Gogh Vodka

3 oz. Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

1/4 oz. agave nectar

Top w/ Sparkling Water OR Sparkling Wine

Add ingredients directly to a highball glass with ice and roll back and forth twice.  Garnish with a rosemary sprig.            

THE PERFECT SILHOUETTE- Inspired by Phantom Thread

4 oz. of LBD Pinot Grigio

1 oz. of Triple Sec

.75 oz. of simple syrup

.5 oz. of grapefruit juice

Method: Add all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake hard, and pour into a stemless wine glass. Garnish with mint sprig.
