It’s Earth Day! This day could not have come on a better day because its the weekend, so let’s toast to nature with organic wines! Natura wines are organic and tout natural compounds in place of chemicals that encourage sustainable sipping. This Earth Day, why not enjoy some of these wines outside with a picnic?
When I first tried the chardonnay, I was pleasantly surprised by it’s refreshing notes. This white is full of citrus, grapefruit, and pineapple; definitely no buttery chards here. The Natura Chardonnay is a dry white wine that pairs well with many foods. I enjoy this chardonnay usually with a plate of Dutch Gouda, prosciutto, goat cheeses. The crisp and dry chardonnay really goes well with creamy cheeses.
For my rosé lovers, the Natura Rosé is a bright light pink wine with fruity aromas. This rosé is fun in the sun and will have you in a sustainable summer sipping mood. The wine is made of a blend of syrah, cabernet sauvignon, and merlot grapes. Pair this blush colored beauty with some seafood, lamb burgers, or bbq brisket tacos!
Natura also produces some red varietals, for those seeking something bigger, bolder, and spicier. Two of my favorites happen to be the Carmenere and the Cabernet Sauvignon. Chilean wines are a category of wine that if you haven’t yet, you should really look into. The prices are excellent for the quality of many Chilean wines, and I encourage you to certainly taste some of these great organic wines. It’s Earth Day, what better way to celebrate than with some spring sips!
Happy Earth Day everyone. Please pair responsibly…
