Chef Hugh Acheson kicked off summer by hosting a Captain’s Round Table with Captain Morgan Rum! Here he took us through some delicious cocktails and Captain Morgan infused food. Chef Hugh is extremely creative and makes cooking at home less intimidating as you will see in his book, A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented In Your Kitchen.
Kicking off the lunch with a Mint Mutiny was exactly what this hot day called for. This refreshing Mint Julep styled cocktail is perfect for these summer city days. The Captains Agua Fresca is a cocktail that many of you fruity cocktail lovers will want. Both cocktails are perfect for summer, however the Mint Mutiny won my heart!
Chef made this one booze infused lunch with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum Glazed Chicken Wings and Skirt Steak Captain Morgan Spiced Black Rum Banh Mi. Both were absolutely delicious and perfect summer snacks to have at your BBQ. 1 ½ oz Captain Morgan White Rum
½ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz Rose simple syrup

1 ½ oz Captain Morgan White Rum
2oz Strawberries and Mint Agua Fresca
3 Cucumbers Dialsickled Radish
