Last week some top restaurants in NYC battled it out, bite for bite, to win the title of Best Burger! Juicy beef patties, apple wood smoked bacon, parmesan, cheddar, pickles, chipotle mayo, the list really goes on and on for all the different burger accompaniments that were at this event.

IMG_6507Amstel Light made sure to keep us hydrated during the event with their light beer as well as the Radler, which is a low alcohol lemon beer. The lemon beer was fun and refreshing, and is something you could absolutely sip on at the beach or when you’re having a BBQ.  Amstel light is cool and refreshing and went very nicely with the burgers. Tables and tables full of juicy, succulent, perfectly cooked burgers along the South Street Seaport was the best way to spend a Thursday evening for the New Yorker’s that attended.

Every type of bun imaginable was at this event, some were pretzel buns, while others were “French toast” IMG_6510inspired with a side of au jus. It was very interesting to see the massive array of burgers being offered, and they were all extremely delectable and battled it out well. Who won? Jeepney with their phenomenal Chori Burger, which comes covered in Banana Ketchup and Maggi Aioli. This is then topped with chorizo longganisa, and it was out of this world, yum! Some other favorites were from Watermark Restaurant, as well as Donovan’s Pub. For those of you who didn’t make it this year, there are plenty of chances to visit the restaurants in NYC to try the burgers for yourself.
