Tales of the Cocktail is an iconic cocktail event where bartenders, mixologists, brands, and thirsty IMG_5796industry professionals join to celebrate the art of the craft cocktail through education, events, and competitions.  City Sip and Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte gave New Yorker’s a little preview of the sips that will be featured down in New Orleans.

Charlotte Voisey of William Grant & Sons was there whipping up some special cocktails that included Nicolas Feuillate, who will be a sponsor at the Tales of the Cocktail. The La Vie en Rose was made with Reyka Vodka, Lillet Rose, Chamomile Syrup, Lemon, Pineapple, and Champagne. This cocktail is perfect for day drinking and brunches. The Hendricks French 75 was also one of her creations and was refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. Using Hendricks Gin, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, Cucumber, and Champagne, this cocktail was a crowd favorite.

IMG_5792  Ariana Vitale of Evelyn Drinkery made a Nikki Foo cocktail which was perfect for those who love their raspberries. Using Raspberry Vinegar, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, Grapefruit Juice, Hibiscus Tea, and Champagne, this cocktail is stunning, bright, and beautiful.

Nicolas Feuillatte is well-known Champagne that pairs very well with food. L’Apicio did a wonderful job with the dishes, which paired nicely with both the cocktails and champagne itself. The Rosé was my favorite, as always, however the Brut was also crisp and refreshing in the hot summer sun. Grilled Endive, Vegetable Lasagna, and Orecchiette were served with the wines. This was an excellent choice, as cheesy lasagna does tend to go great with some bubbles.
