Superbowl Snacks & Sweets!

Superbowl LI is this Sunday February 5th, 2017! Are you prepared yet? If you’re hosting the party at your place, make sure you’re prepared with plenty of Moore’s Marinade and some Austin Eastciders. Normally for the big game, I prepare the usual chicken wings, pigs in a blanket, and pair some beers.

This year I decided to do things a bit differently and chose to make a Moore’s Buffalo Ranch, Chicken, Corn and Feta Tart Flambé (French Puff Pastry “Pizza”) as my savory option, and a Salted Caramel Hopped Cider Float for the sweet option. Both are insanely delicious, easy to make, and will win the hearts and stomachs of your party guests!

Moore’s Creamy Buffalo Ranch Sauce is great on wings when used as a marinade as well as used as a dipping sauce. It’s creamy, slightly spicy, and great for game day.

Moore’s Buffalo Ranch, Chicken, Corn, and Feta Tart Flambé: by Chef Sara Lehman

4 Organic Chicken Legs

1/2C Steamed Corn

1/4-1/2 President Feta Cheese

TT Moore’s Creamy Buffalo Ranch Sauce

1 Sheet of Puff Pastry

TT Salt & Pepper

Method: Marinate the chicken legs with Moore’s Sauce, and place in slow cooker for 3-4 hours until the chicken shreds off the bone with a fork. Take shredded chicken and toss in a bit more sauce, and set aside. Boil or steam (in microwave) the corn, and pre-bake the puff pastry at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, or until almost cooked fully. Once almost cooked, take out and top with feta, chicken, corn, and drizzle with Moore’s sauce. Bake another 10 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

Cut with a pizza cutter into squares, and serve!

For dessert…

Austin Eastciders Hopped Cider is made from bittersweet apples and is very refreshing and hops driven. When combined with Breyers Salted Caramel ice cream it’s a delicious delight that both the men and women at the party will love! This recipe is simple, and requires only these two ingredients.

Have a happy and healthy Superbowl LI… Please pair responsibly!
