Summer Sips: LeJay Cassis Cocktails

With the summer heat on the rise, fun fruit forward cocktails are a must! LeJay Cassis Liqueur is the perfect addition to any cocktail. I enjoy using LeJay as much as possible in cocktails as well as desserts. I am always infusing wine, spirits, and liqueurs into my desserts and find that it can be a great compliment when done correctly.

With that being said, this article is about cocktails, and below are some really delicious cocktails using LeJay Cassis Liqueur! LeJay is a French Cassis Liqueur made from fresh French blackcurrants that are carefully selected and harvested in July. This smooth and delicious liqueur is perfect for any home bar, and works beautifully with sparkling wine and spirits!

 

LeJay Spicy Mezcal-Rita: by Sara Lehman

4oz Mezcal

1.5oz LeJay Cassis Liqueur

1oz Lime Juice

TT Salt

TT Cayenne Pepper

Method: In a cocktail shaker, combine mezcal, LeJay and lime juice. Mix salt and cayenne together and rim a glass with a lime wedge then dip it into the salt and cayenne mix. Shake liquids with ice and pour into a margarita glass. Enjoy with some fish tacos or chips and guac!

Frozen Sparkling Peach & Cassis: by Sara Lehman

1c Frozen Peach Sices

1oz LeJay Cassis Liqueur

4oz Mia Sparkling Moscato

TT Lemon Juice

Method: In a blender, combine the frozen peaches, liqueur, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, top with prosecco, and mix. Enjoy by the pool with friends!
