Summer Brunch Perfection with Mionetto Prosecco!

It was a warm sunny afternoon in NYC in the Meatpacking District, when I joined Mionetto Prosecco for a wonderful brunch at Santina! Mionetto is a well-known Prosecco that keeps to traditions while still being innovative and modern. It’s a wine that’s always in one of my holiday roundups because it’s approachable, elegant, and pleases everyone’s palate. It’s the perfect Prosecco to bring to a brunch party and mixes well into cocktails. One of my favorite ways to enjoy this wine (besides on it’s own) is in an Aperol Spritz!

During brunch we enjoyed a lineup of three wines from the Prestige Collection. This is Mionetto’s most classic line and reflects its connections with the history of the winery in the bottle. The sleek and elegant design is what draws people to the bottle, while the taste is what keeps them coming back.

We started off with a selection of welcome cocktails including Pineapple Mimosas, and Aperol Spritz’s. Both are delicious and very refreshing any time of year, but especially taste even better outside in the warm summer sun. When we sat down for the tasting, of three great wines from the Prestige Collection, I was happy to see some delicious Fritto Misto, Salmon Affumicato Cecilia, as well as an Arugula Fig Salad. These wines pair beautifully with figs, fish, and fried foods!

Santina is known for their Cacia E Pepe Rice, which also pairs beautifully with the Mionetto Organic Extra Dry Prosecco, due to it’s cheesy creaminess and generous black pepper. The wine pairs nicely because of the yellow apple and stone fruit notes, which seamlessly enhance the flavors of the rice. Also on the table was a delicious Shrimp Frittata, which paired perfectly with the rosé, which is bursting with red fruit and liveliness!

The lineup of wines included:

Mionetto Prosecco DOC Trevino Brut- Golden yellow and stylish with aromas of yellow apple, honey, and peach. The acidity is well balanced which makes this wine an excellent pairing with fried seafood, such as the Fritto Misto from Santina!

Mionetto Prosecco DOC Organic Extra Dry- Made from grapes cultivated without usage of chemical product or synthetic fertilizers, it’s produced from a vinification kept separate from other processes. A sparkling Prosecco with a persistent bubbles, delicate aromas, and elegance. This wine makes a great gift, because of its uniqueness, taste, and style.

Mionetto Rosé Extra Dry- This Rosé is the result of soft pressing of red grapes. Peach blossom color with shiny reflections accompanied by a fine, lively perlage. Intense fragrant, fruity nose with hints of violet, raspberry, morello cherry and wild strawberry. Overall this is a favorite summer sipper for me!

If you’re seeking to spend some of your summer enjoying brunch… and want the perfect Prosecco to bring to the party, look no further. Mionetto will fit perfectly in your budget and please everyone’s taste preferences! Always remember, eat what you like and drink what you love… please pair responsibly.
