Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, California has many unique attractions that make it a winery wonderland. With a swimming pool, movie gallery, preforming arts pavilion, bocce courts, and two restaurants, this winery is one you will want to put on your must see list.
I recently tried the Sofia Rosé, which for $19 is a great buy! This bright pink wine has a beautiful nose of red cherries, wild berries, and fresh flowers that make it great for spring sipping and weekend brunches. On the palate this wine is silky and ripe with striking flavors of plums, pomegranate, and raspberries,layered with spice notes of cloves, tea leaves, and orange peel.
If you’re like me, you probably enjoy sipping wine with friends and eating a great meal. The fruit and spice notes in this wine, along with it’s acidity make it very pair-able. Pair this wine with Lamb, Fried Artichokes, and Marinated Roasted Vegetables. For easy entertaining, serve the meal family style so you can sip and savor this rosé!
