Le Grande Boucherie, Midtown!

Boucherie NYC has a new location and it is stunning! Located on 53rd in between sixth and seventh avenue, it’s the new hot spot for indoor/outdoor dining in Midtown. The outdoor dining is beautiful and has a roof, so diners can enjoy it all year long.

I attended the opening of Le Grande Boucherie where we sat outdoors, and it was such a lovely setting. It was a chilly evening, but luckily the great food and cocktails kept us nice and warm. We started with a Pisco Sour and a Sazerac. The cocktail menu is nice and diverse, offering spirits and flavors for everyone! The Pisco Sour was really wonderful, nice and herbaceous and complimented the appetizers well.

For our starters we enjoyed the Escargot and the Mussels with Fries. The escargot is rich and buttery, with a nice amount of garlic. The Mussels were great, perfectly fresh, with nice flavor and delicious fries on the side. The atmosphere here is very chic, yet friendly like all the other Boucherie locations. After our cocktails, we moved to wine where they have a great wines by the glass selection.

I started with a glass of Grenache and Danny enjoyed the Malbec. Both were really great, and paired nicely with our entrées. Whenever I am at a French restaurant I always order duck, so of course I had to get the Duck Leg Confit. Danny enjoyed the Skirt Steak with Marrow and Greens, which was absolutely delectable. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and tender, you could cut it with a fork. The flavors were sensational, and paired nicely with the Malbec, but also the Grenache too. The duck leg confit is out of this world! It was nice and juicy, full of flavor, and the confit potatoes underneath the duck, made the dish even more perfect.

Now, Danny and I are not too big into sweets, so we almost never get dessert, however the dessert menu looked wonderful. They have a wonderful selection of French favorites as well as ice creams and a great after dinner drink list too.

Now that Le Grande Boucherie is open, you too can enjoy an evening of food, wine and cocktails! Be sure to check out this new location, you will absolutely love the ambiance, decor, and seating options. The service staff is wonderful, and very helpful when it comes to recommending dishes, and Management is warm and welcoming.
