September is one of my favorite times of the year because fall is on it’s way and the Greenwich Wine & Food Festival comes to Greenwich, CT. The Grand Tasting event on Saturday September 24, 2016 is a fun filled all day event where you can discover new restaurants, wines, and spirits, as well as a concert and celebrity chef demonstrations!
The lineup for this year at the Grand Tasting Tent
12-5pm: 150+ food and beverage vendors where guests can sample decadent dishes, savory snacks, sweet desserts and elegant wines and spirits.
During the grand tasting you’ll also find:
The Ultimate Sandwich Take-down hosted by Christian Petroni, John Nealon, Rob Krauss and Samantha Mittler. This competitive sandwich-making competition will name the Ultimate Sandwich winner!
The Ultimate Sandwich Tent: Local favorite restaurants, delicatessens, and cafes will create the most over-the-top sandwiches! Participants will work with ingredients like: cheesesteak, meatballs, chicken cutlets, grilled veggies, French fries, eggs, cheese, marinara sauce, BBQ sauce, lettuce, ketchup and mayo — sometimes all in the same sandwich! -SerendipitySocial.com
South of the Border Tent Presented by Don Julio: Delicious flavors from South of The Border! Top restaurants show off their best Mexican Dishes for guests to taste along with festive cocktails made with Don Julio Tequila.
The Grill Master Tent: Top Grill Masters dish out flavorful BBQ specialties.
3rd Annual Top Bartender Showdown: Best Mixologists curate some awe-inspiring signature cocktails in a competition to crown the Cocktail King or Queen.
Bud and Burgers presented by Budweiser: Top restaurants feature their artisan burgers.
5th Annual Burger Battle hosted by Adam Richman: Top restaurants feature their custom-crafted burgers for the highly anticipated Burger Battle judged by our panel of Festival Celebrity Guests, Michel Nischan, Marcus Samuelsson, Marc Murphy, Rui Correia and Alex Guarnaschelli.
Demonstration Event Stages: Three stages with more than 15 cooking demonstrations and wine, beer and cocktail seminars from renowned experts and favorite television network stars.
