125th Anniversary

Summer is the perfect time to light up and enjoy a good cigar, don’t you think? I first fell in love with cigars due to the aromas, and it wasn’t until I tried my first one with my father when I was over 18 years old. What I enjoy about cigars is that they are not addicting, and in fact more of a social activity thats relaxing and exciting. I find I always meet and smoke with the most interesting people when enjoying a good cigar, and there is a cigar for you within your budget, that I promise! Gurkha Cigars are some of the industry’s finest and only the rarest and best tobaccos go into each and every cigar.

Want to know which ones to buy? You’re in luck because here are my top five Gurkha Cigars to smoke this summer:

The Cellar Reserve Edicion Especial goes above and beyond in perfecting the Cellar Reserve blend with a Corojo wrapper and 18-year aged tobacco. This cigar is medium body and full of flavor and comes packaged in a beautiful piano finish, mahogany box. “I partnered with our blenders to search for the rarest tobaccos we could find and stumbled upon this 18-year old Corojo wrapper and blend. There was only enough to make 100 boxes of each size initially, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. In fact, at this very moment we are searching for another rare blend for next year,” – Kaizad Hansotia.

These cigars comes in a rare 35-count box, and is blended by the blending team at American Caribbean Cigars in Nicaragua, with the input of our in-house blender and National Sales Director, Juan Lopez, and the blessings of Kaizad Hansotia. The flavorful blend has rich coffee and dark chocolate tones with a subtle and well-balanced spice present throughout.

Now that you know what to smoke, here’s what to pair with it. I always enjoy a nice brown spirit when smoking and usually have a neat pour of George Dickel No. 12, Bowmore 12, and for when you’re feeling a something a little sweeter, Crown Royal Maple!
