‘Tis the season for cold weather cocktails! What I love about the holidays and this brisk fall weather are the aromas of apples, cinnamon, and maple in food as well as cocktails. I recently took a weekend trip to Woodstock, NY where fall is everywhere. The foliage is amazing in upstate New York and the leaves were everywhere, it looks like a postcard.

While enjoying the afternoon by the fire pit, I decided to whip up a new favorite fall cocktail, which combines Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco with Root 23 Maple Cinnamon simple syrup. This sparkling cocktail is the perfect fall drink if you enjoy light, sweet, and cinnamon forward flavors. This cocktail is perfect for the upcoming holidays, where you can easily pair this with your Thanksgiving brunch, appetizers, or the entire feast!

Rustico is dry and crisp with fruit and flower flavors and blends nicely with the smooth maple and comforting cinnamon syrup. This cocktail can be as sweet as you want it to be, it all depends on how much syrup you add to the sparkling wine in your glass.
