Women have always made history, especially when it comes to changing the game and pushing boundaries. Today, you see more women in more powerful positions than ever before and when it comes to the wine industry this is changing as well. Not only are more women becoming winemakers but now, thanks to emBRAZEN Wines, these game changers and rule breakers are on wine labels too!

These are “Bold Wines featuring Brazen Women” on the label of the bottle. Recently launched, emBRAZEN Wines are inspired by the trailblazing women of the past. These women ignited new paths forward, and it’s time we raise our glasses of emBRAZEN wines to “a future where women revel in doing things on their own terms and in their own way.”- embrazen.com.

I had the pleasure of tasting the Revolution Chardonnay with Celia Cruz on the label. Celia was a freedom singer, in an industry previously dominated by men. She achieved 23 best selling gold albums and was the most successful Latin artist of the 20th century! Celia took her passion for Cuba worldwide with extravagant costumes and bigger than life performances. As she danced across the stage at the age of 76 to receive second of three Grammys, she proved you’re never too old to “brazenly” revel in the spotlight. This Chardonnay is quite nice, with balanced fruit and acidity. It’s simple and delicious and is perfect for fall stews, seafood, vegetarian dishes, and even simple sipping. It dazzles with golden hues and fruit notes in the glass, making it the perfect wine for any occasion!

I also had the pleasure of tasting the Revolutionary Cabernet Sauvignon featuring Nellie Bly, a Journalist, and Explorer. She is a woman who shattered expectations for other women in the newsroom! “As one of the first female journalists to go undercover, she posed as a patient in an insane asylum, braving abuse and torture to expose the dark truth behind the padded walls and sparking nationwide mental healthcare reform. As a world traveler, she set out on a race to tour the globe, beating Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days by over a week. ” – embrazen.com

This Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and not boring boasting with bright red fruit notes, some spice, blackberry, and cherry. The finish is long and strong, and leaves a lasting impression, much like this iconic female!

For those of you seeking very food friendly and price-approachable wines, I recommend emBRAZEN wines! They are perfect and resemble iconic females who were game changers we didn’t really hear about in history. It’s important these women go noticed, so we as women can keep creating and changing the world for the better! These wines range from $13.99-15.99.
