image005-2Celebrate Earth Day on April 23, 2015 Peruvian style!

Join Peruvian Chefs and Pisco Lovers for 7 Piscos and 14 Cocktails. This is a way of paying homage to Pachamama (the Earth Mother) who receives a pago de tierra (payment to the earth) of Pisco before any bottle is filled.

Pisco is not only for sour’s anymore, however for those of you who have not had a Pisco Sour yet… do try one!

The Pisco featured is produced from eight of the finest grape varieties grown in Pisco, Peru. Puro (all one grape), Acholado (blended grape varietals), and Mosto Verde (in which the fermentation process is stopped). Did you know… it takes a lot of these grapes to produce a liter of the finest Pisco!

At 7 Piscos 14 Cocktails Pisco lovers will have the opportunity to taste, side by side, seven different Pisco brands that include: Bar Sol, Campo de Encanto, Macchu Pisco, Ocucaje, Pisco 100, Pisco Porton and Queirolo, and fourteen innovative cocktails from some of the most creative mixologists in New York City.  Guests will also enjoy Peruvian appetizers prepared by the winners of last year’s “Ceviche vs. Tiradito” event. These restaurant winners are: Coco Roco, Raymi, and Runa. Not only will the night be fun, informative, and delicious, but you will also see an energetic Peruvian percussion show!

Tickets are for sale, and not only get you into the event, but also enters you into a drawing for some exciting raffle prizes. These prizes include: bottles of Pisco; dinners at New York/New Jersey/Connecticut’s best Peruvian restaurants; cocktails at some of the tri-state area’s most interesting bars; and trips to Pisco, Peru (so hoping I win this one)!
