Did you know the Finger Lakes, NY produces great wine? I know I don’t discuss it too much on here, but that’s certainly about to change. I have discovered some wine makers and wineries that I absolutely love and can’t wait to share with you.

Dr. Konstantin Frank, a gorgeous Finger Lakes winery that is known for making their mark in the NY wine industry. Fred Frank (the grandson of Konstantin’s), now is making his name at the vineyard and really does a spectacular job, just like his father did.

I myself had to pry into my wine books when trying to decipher the name alone. Turns out, this was the perfect wine for my even more perfect meal. This wine is crisp and dry with aromas of fresh flowers and herbs. You may notice some slight white pepper on the nose and palate as well. This wine is beautifully balanced and full of citrus and striking acidity.

The dish was out of this world yum!

The citrus notes in the wine really complimented the lobster, while the smooth and creamy risotto was the perfect touch for the amount of acidity in the wine.

This meal was not too heavy for the white either, which is what I loved. This wine has a lot of structure and handled the heaviness of the meal very well.  Be sure to check Dr. Frank wines… you will fall in love with every sip!

Always remember, eat what you like and drink what you love!
