Davidoff’s Winston Churchill, The Late Hour

I had the pleasure of visiting Davidoff Cigars on Madison Avenue a few weeks ago, where I was able to smoke a Winston Churchill, The Late Hour Cigar. It’s a strong, smooth, and bold cigar that’s tobacco leaves have been aged in Scotch single malt whiskey casks for six months. This creates intensity, depth, and complexity in the cigar, which makes it enjoyable to smoke.

“Davidoff celebrates this facet of the Great Man with a special cigar – The Late Hour. To reflect the darkness during which Sir Winston was his most creative, Davidoff has selected a shiny and oily Habano Ecuador wrapper in a beautiful dark chocolate color”. -Davidoff.com

The Robusto is nice and strong with stimulating spicy notes and hints of cask flavors. It’s a very alluring cigar that can be enjoyed with aged rums, rye whiskeys, and even red wines. To pair with the cigar, Davidoff created a special cigar spirits glass with notches to hold your Winston Churchill, The Late Hour. This is a special glass that looks fantastic on your bar, and also makes a great gift. The glass is hand blown by a European glassware expert with 120 years experience in the craft.

This style of aging the tobacco leaves six months in Scotch casks has not been done before, and is what makes this cigar unique. The Late Hour Robusto is absolutely a cigar I look forward to smoking again. If you’re looking for a relaxing spot to sit back and smoke, then check out some of the beautiful Davidoff locations in Manhattan, NY.
