Have you tried Captain Morgan’s LocoNut Rum? This creamy and delicious rum is a blend of Caribbean rum, coconut liqueur, spice, and natural flavors. It comes in a bottle shaped like a coconut and makes a great addition to any bar this summer. Not only is the rum great on its own as a shot, but you can enjoy it in many Caribbean style cocktails.
I decided to do something a little different with my LocoNut and made it into a delectable Booze Infused Coconut Sorbet! It’s a a boozy way to beat the heat this summer with a wonderful sweet treat.
Captain Morgan LocoNut Sorbet- by Sara Lehman
1 Can Coconut Milk
1/4c LocoNut Rum
2 TBSP Granulated Sugar
1/4c Coconut Flakes
Method: In a sauce pot, combine coconut milk, sugar, and coconut flakes. Heat until sugar is dissolved, and then let cool to room temperature for about 10-12 minutes. Add in the LocoNut rum, and pour into a freezable container (preferably metal or glass). Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for 6-8 hours. Scoop and top with toasted coconut, blackberries, pineapples, or anything else you may enjoy!
